TEMPLES AND IDOLS - WHAT DO THEY REPRESENT IN HINDUSIM
- Visit temples to re-enforce and re-strengthen your mind. When you visit a temple, you will see the idols. Hinduism does not encourage idol worship. However, the idols used in the temples are sculpted from stones found at the bottom of rivers. The idols go through a process of initiation using mantras meant to turn stones into holy objects. This advanced technology existed with hindus from time immemorial. After the priests finish their initiation of these idols, they are consecrated in the temples as idols. When you meditate in front of these idols, the idols resonate back hundred times vibrations that strengthen your mind improving mental strength and thus your physical strength.
